![]() As a trained graphic artist I've spent 30 years creating and producing commercial artwork for other people. Returning to my roots I began painting for myself. Many have influenced my art and creativity: including my high school art teacher, internationally renowned artist Brian Tilbrook, and my college design instructor, Gundi Barenscher; but my major support and inspiration comes from my wife Robyn and my family and friends, who urge me to continue painting. Travels from England, to Asia, and North America, have taught me to appreciate a variety of art forms, infinite colours and the randomness of nature. I apply these experiences to my own works from an assortment of many styles and techniques, implementing my own sense of colour and stroke. My work is an exploration of application and the merging of colour. Each piece is a natural progression of my experimentation and I am fascinated by the spontaneity of the flow of colour and creativity. Colour and the blending of paint, canvas and other media always draw me to further my personal growth as an artist. All of my art is painted with acrylics and some include mixed media. Please enjoy my art. As the arts community has become a target for identity theft, please contact me for my Artist's Statement and CV. |
